Ongoing Yoga Benefit Research

Yoga has seen a big increase in popularity recently as people begin to see the benefits it brings. Research is ongoing around the world as people start to see the benefits and wonder what is going on.

One of the first studies was completed in 1975 in ‘the Lancet‘. This study showed that blood pressure was reduced in most cases. There have been lots of studies since, but its often very difficult to prove that yoga is causing the benefit as the people in the study are often on a fitness drive or dieting so aren’t practicing yoga by itself.
