Another great book by Diane Alber!!

This book pairs great with A Little Spot of Anger. I bought both of them together to implement a fresh perspective on understanding and coping mechanisms for emotions for my two boys (4&6).

Diane simplifies explaining emotions in her books for kids to understand. I know a few adults who should read these books to develop coping skills to manage their emotions!!!

The illustrations in the book are adorable, simple, and relatable! My kids love them!

I’ve made a photocopy of the breathing exercise and taped it to the wall as a reminder and reference for my boys in case they need it.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who is an influence in a child’s life. You’ll be providing them with a simple and effective way to understand emotions and manage them. I can see this being used in the classroom, at home, in a children’s yoga studio.

Here is another wonderful story about a spot. A small or large spot that can change the mood of a person entirely. The spot in this book is peaceful. The peaceful spot helps you feel relaxed and calm. Identifying the spot or emotion you are feeling is very helpful. Are you frustrated and annoyed, angry spot. Worried and scared belongs to the Anxiety spot. Are you lonely or disappointed, the sadness spot has his hold on you. If your not sure write it down or draw what you are feeling. Feel Peace spot come around you. Draw peaceful pictures for meditation. There are more ideas in this book for you to try and find the Peaceful Spot.
Ms. Alber seems to work well with a very simple idea of a spot and have tremendous success with it. The series is growing. There are currently six spots and one snippet book. I highly recommend them all.
